Making money using Google Adsense

Just wanted to take a moment to explain a little about making money using affiliate schemes like Amazon and Linkshare among others and comparing that to Adsense.

First if you search for Adsense or making money on the Internet you will find hundreds maybe thousands of people claiming they are earning 1,000's of dollars a week using Adsense, YouTube is full of people showing their cheques or logins to Adsense with their amazing earnings.

Looking into the background of these sites it seems that most of them set up websites on how to make money and generate leads, and post videos and blogs to get people to visit their sites.

As everyone who visits these sites wants to be a millionaire it is not surprising that they make money through Adsense as when visiting you can't find the answers unless you sign up and so you click the other ads on their pages making them money.

But looking at the ads that are posted on these sites they are from similar sites so in effect they are all paying for each others Adsense.

What these people don't show you is their Adwords bill each month, maybe someone earning 1 million dollars a month has an Adwords bill of 999,000 dollars and so are only actually earning $1000 a month.

Also they seem to all run multiple sites, maybe a few hundred in some cases so they may be earning $10-$20 per site per month but they are paying out for domains and hosting each year or two so it is never as good as they say it is.

My experience of Adsense is that it works well, and can pay towards a sites running and compared to other affiliate schemes it pays out earlier and is more consistent.

Amazon is a great affiliate system but needs a lot of work, people do not just buy things because there is an image and a link they need a reason to buy, so supplying a positive review along with your affiliate link works better.

My wife says I can have a Mac book Pro when my earnings from Adsense and Amazon pays outright for it. I am sure there is a catch but I am working towards earning more and will write details of how I did it and how you too can earn more in upcoming blogs under the category of Adsense.
