Why You Need a Dynamic Website
Google is all about giving their user's a better experience. They have just announced that USA residents using Google search results will be informed if a website is not viewable on the device they are using (be that a phone, tablet or laptop) giving people the option not to click on websites that are going to give them a poor experience if they are not on a desk top computer.
Here's what Google had to say:
"A common annoyance for web users is when websites require browser technologies that are not supported by their device. When users access such pages, they may see nothing but a blank space or miss out a large portion of the page's contents.
Starting today in our English search results in the US, we will indicate to searchers when our algorithms detect pages that may not work on their devices. For example, Adobe Flash is not supported on iOS devices or on Android versions 4.1 and higher."
If your website is not dynamic then it is well past its sell by date and you should contact your website developer to have your website overhauled for what will be coming to the UK.
If you need further convincing, check your analytics to see how many of your customers are coming from mobile devices because you may lose them in the future.
